Silver naturally oxidises, and vermeil can fade if exposed to air and moisture. To slow this

mild washing-up liquid with warm water and use a soft toothbrush to lift any dirt. Rinse well

Take your jewellery off before showering, swimming, or working out. Chlorine, salt water, and

sweat can dull finishes and affect shine over time.

Sensitive skin

If your skin reacts to gold-plated jewellery, apply a thin coat of clear nail polish to the parts

that touch your skin (but not on gemstones). Reapply when it starts to wear off.
